Prime Minister Opens Up Royal Visit Art Contest.

Hands out Prizes for most creative portrait of Their Majesties the King and Queen

 

ThePrime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams joined by the Minister of Education, Culture, Youths and Sport the Hon. Patricia Lourens-Phillip opened the Royal Visit Art Exhibition at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library on Tuesday Evening.

 

During the event the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education also handed out prizes to students with the most creative portrait of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Maxima.

"It is so good to see the type of creativity that went into the drawings made by our youth," commented the Prime Minister, "The Youth will be placed central in the Royal Visit, including the Youth Showcase where everyone is invited to, and therefore it is good to see these creative portraits. I am also happy to say that all of the winning portraits will be showcased in the Government Administration Building were the King and Queen will be able to see them," concluded the PM.
