Women’s Soccer on St. Maarten Celebrates One Year of Existence on Saturday at LB Scott Auditorium

Prominent Women from the Community to Participate in Celebrity Penalty Shoot-out Competition: Various Raffle Prizes to be won.

The Oualichi Women’s Soccer Team is holding a special one-year anniversary celebration on the sixteenth of November. The day will celebrate the establishment of women’s soccer on St. Maarten with various activities including soccer matches, a celebrity penalty shoot-out competition and a raffle.

 

The association and the event’s organizing committee have organized exhibition matches featuring the Oualichi Women’s Team, the Girls Under Fifteen Team, The Oualichi Girl’s Team; a penalty shoot-out competition featuring prominent women in the St. Maarten Community; and a fund-raising raffle featuring airline tickets, dinner vouchers and beauty and sports gift certificates.

Highlight of the evening will be the Celebrity Penalty Shoot-out Competition where prominent females from within the community will participate in St. Maarten’s first ever women’s penalty shoot-out. During the competition three teams of women representing various backgrounds; amongst which legal, educational, political, arts, and business will vie for the top spot.

Additionally, a raffle will be held from which many prizes can be won, amongst which from Insel Air, Winair, Pineapple Pete’s, Sushito, Purrfect Bath and Body Essentials, Sam’s Sports, and Blush. Start time for the event will be 2:00 to 6:00 o’clock and will take place at the LB Scott Sports Auditorium. The Oualichi Event’s Committee encourages the community to come out and support women’s soccer on St. Maarten.
