Two seniors of respectable age, mr Rafael Christiaan (86) and mrs Veronica Arndell (..) told some 60 youngsters of the After School Program from the Belvedere Community Center how life was in SInt Maarten back in the days. The youth participated attentive and they will continue this week with the project: "Sint Maarten Yester years, Nowadays, and in future decades."
The project is an initiative of the Sint Maarten Seniors and Pensioners Association in preparation of the Sint Maarten Day theme of this year "Back in the days". The youths under guidance of the staff of the after school program will discuss the information received and will express with their different talents what they have learned about living back in the days and how they want to live in Sint Maarten now and in the future. Their creations will be presented nexxt week during the family event organized for the public of SInt Maarten in the Belvedere Comunity Center on Saturday November 9, 2013 at 4 pm till 7 pm.
