Prime Minister Opens Foot Care Clinic

Applauds Founder Zenia Duncan for Stressing Importance of Foot Care

The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams opened up Zenia Duncan’s Barefoot Foot Care Center and Clinique at the Heritage House Arcade on Frontstreet on Sunday. The center will provide quality foot care to its clients and centers on the premise that healthy feet are essential to a healthy body.

The Prime Minister stated that it was indeed a pleasure for her to witness the opening of a facility that is so essential in providing quality care for the community of St. Maarten. "It is a pleasure for me to witness this moment and it is amazing how over the course of time Zenia has been sharing this vision of hers in wanting to open a practice. I recall when you had basically a small sidewalk practice going into the community and explaining the people why it is so important that they have proper foot healthcare.

"The establishment of this clinic has not been easy but then again nothing worthwhile is been easy, nevertheless I am sure that you will continue to grow and I see you progressing in providing the care to the people of St. Maarten. For the clients I would like to say that it is our two feet that carries our body and their health is very important. Being able to move along and the way we do that is using our own two feet. And so the care for our feet is so something which is from time to time disregarded. Especially as we get older we need to give very special attention to our feet as an important area of focus. With the service Zenia is giving you that possibility and also looking at your own health," concluded the Prime Minister.
