Two Central Committee Meetings Scheduled for Tuesday

The Central Committee of Parliament will meet twice on October 08 with respect to bank license fees and the development of a film industry on the island.

The committee will meet on Tuesday at 10.00am and at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

 

The first session of the House at 10.00am is regarding the license fee being charged by commercial banks to individual account holders. This meeting was requested by Members of Parliament (MP) Hon. Petrus de Weever, MP Hon. Roy Marlin and MP Hon. Johan Leonard.

During the afternoon session of the House at 2.00pm, MPs will receive a presentation from J.A. Hunt of Eyelander Entertainment with respect to the development of a film industry, and a Film Festival for the country.

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
