The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams received a courtesy visit and held a discussion with representatives of the OCaN organization recently at her Cabinet.
OCaN, or the Organization of Caribbean Dutch in the Netherlands) concerns itself with the various developments affecting the social position of the residents of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom in the Netherlands. The organization contributes to decision-making and the quality of government policy on Dutch Caribbean by making the consequences of various government proposals clear with regards to the Caribbean Dutch in the Netherlands. The Prime Minister held discussions regarding the OCaN organization defending the interests of Caribbean Dutch in the Netherlands and the improvement of the social position of the Caribbean Dutch in the Netherlands through various advocacy initiatives.
