President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell met on Wednesday morning with Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labour Hon. Cornelius de Weever regarding any outstanding matters related to his aforementioned portfolios.
Some of the issues discussed were a proposal by the SZV to expand the pension plan to include taxi drivers, bus drivers and sole proprietorships; presentation of the Water Master Plan; modification of the Civil Code on short-term contracts; and the secondary pension plan that is modelled after Aruba and Curacao.
Tentative dates have been set to bring pending or new matters before the House for parliamentary sittings.
The aforementioned meeting was the final round of sessions concluding the President of Parliament’s one-on-one deliberations with members of the Councils of Ministers.
