Deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Josianne Fleming-Artsen and members of the Stichting Overkoepelend Lichaam Antillianen en Arubanen (SOLAAN) attended a cultural manifestation on September 7 in the Dutch municipality of Nijmegen.
The cultural event was hosted by Curacao in connection with the abolishment of slavery 150-years ago.
Many cultural organizations took part in the cultural manifestation through sound, dance, and lectures. There were many traditional Caribbean dishes on display as well as books about Sint Maarten and Curacao. According to Deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Josianne Fleming-Artsen, it was a day filled with culture.
