On Wednesday the Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams attended the annual Telem shareholders meeting at the Telem Conference Hall. Commenting on the annual meeting the Prime Minister stated that during the meeting various items were discussed including the approval of the annual accounts for 2012 as well as the Board being given discharge for 2013. "Generally speaking, notwithstanding the very competitive environment of telecommunications sector in which Telem operates, the company is able to hold its ground and is focused on the future and the things that need to be done to ensure its survivability going forward," commented the Prime Minister.
