Regular monthly meetings re-established
President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell met last week Friday with Prime Minister Hon. Sarah Wescot-Williams regarding outstanding matters related to her portfolio as Minister of General Affairs.
The meeting focused on pending or draft legislation to be handled by the House of Parliament.
Tentative dates for a plenary session of the House have been set to finalize deliberations on the draft law pertaining to the composition of the supervisory committee of the National Security Service.
A recently submitted draft law regarding the Government’s Organization is set to be handled in September in a Central Committee meeting.
The President and Prime Minister also discussed the re-establishment of monthly meetings between the two office holders set for every first Wednesday of the month.
