The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams welcomed new judges at the Joint Court of First Instance Judges Koos van de Ven and Katja Mans late last week at a ceremony in Philipsburg. The two judges were officially installed at the Court of First Instance during an extraordinary sitting last Friday afternoon. The Prime Minister stated that she looked forward to the professionalism and dedication of the two new judges in upholding the laws that govern St. Maarten. "I would like to welcome Judge van de Ven and Judge Mans to St. Maarten and wish them much success while they uphold the laws that Govern this Country," commented the PM.
