Minister of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (Ministry of VROMI) Hon. Maurice Lake and Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Hon. Patricia Lourens, on Friday morning surveyed several public elementary schools with respect to their readiness for the start of the new 2013/2014 school year.
Both Ministers were very pleased with the progress made to date and said the schools would be ready on August 12. Minister Lake said that he hired 13 young people from the various districts to assist the public works department personnel and contractors with the summer quick school repair program.
