Lemon road pothole repaired and to reopenMonday; Minister signs advice for repair of nation’s roads

The Minister of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI) is very pleased with the work carried out to address certain road conditions.

The Department of Infrastructure Management repaired a pothole and an additional section of Lemon Road on July 18. The road will be re-opened on Monday, July 22. The concrete needs a certain period of time to cure before vehicular traffic is allowed to drive on it.

Minister Lake said he signed an advice for the repair of road sections and potholes in all districts throughout the country, especially in the Simpson Bay area. These works should start within short.

Minister Lake said this was part of his ‘back to basics’ approach.

"There is no need to leave things fester into bigger problems for the people of our neighborhoods.

"Potholes and other small infrastructure issues should be addressed as soon as possible. It’s all about improving the quality of life and it’s the small things that make a difference to people and I am determined to have these addressed during my one-year term," Minister of VROMI Hon. Maurice Lake said on Sunday.
