Female commits suicide on Cruise Ship.

On Wednesday July 17th , at approximately 10.00 a.m., the Central Police Dispatch sent a police patrol, Detectives and the Forensic Department, to investigate a case of suicide, which occurred in one of the cabins on board of the Carnival Dream Cruise Ship, docked at the A.C. Wathey Cruise Facilities. On board Detectives spoke to the ships authorities and the ships doctor. The captain of the ship stated that shortly after leaving the port of Sint Thomas on Tuesday July 16th with destination Sint Maarten he received a report of the incident. The incident had taken place in one of the cabins on deck # 2 of the ship and the victim was a female U.S. citizen by the name of Christina Michelle Mullin (40). The victim was accompanied on the cruise by other family members. However during the absence of her family members from the cabin, she took her own life by hanging herself. Dr. Mercuur confirmed that the death of the victim as" death by of hanging." The reason why the victim took her own life is still unclear, however that investigation will be done by the U.S. authorities once the ships docks at the nearest U.S. port.
