Representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports (Ministry ECYS) and the Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI) will be meeting on Tuesday to work out the details for the "quick school repair project."
Both Ministries have pledged to work together to facilitate the quick repair of all public primary schools before the start of the new school year 2013/2014 on August 12.
Both Ministers namely Hon. Patricia Lourens of Ministry ECYS and Hon. Maurice Lake of Ministry VROMI would like to see the red tape cut which delays the early execution of repairs to public schools.
The departments that will come together are Department of Education Services, the Inspectorate of Education, Culture and Youth, and Sports, and the Department of Infrastructure Management.
