Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Hon. Patricia Lourens was on-hand at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library on Thursday evening for the launch of E-Books.
Minister Lourens said: It must seem odd in this day of iPods and Smartphones to celebrate the book, a technology many people think is already out-of-date. But, the book has been transformed into the E-Book. The electronic access via the E-Book service being launched today is the result of the library staff and board keeping pace with the continuing evolution of library facilities.
