Fundashon Mariadal and the Health Insurance Office (ZVK) in close cooperation found a solution for the waiting list for the MRI’s for Bonairian patients. This waiting list is again caused by the MRI on Curaçao that is not operational for some time now. Because a previous MRI air bus has been very efficient and the patients really appreciated that their waiting time was significantly reduced, both parties decided to organize an air bus from Bonaire to Aruba. Herewith responsible care is offered. The flights are operated by EZAir and take place on Saturday, because there is no capacity in the hospital to perform MRI’s for 8 patients at ones during the week. The patients come back the same day. The group was guided by Mrs. Antoinette Cicilia from the Bureau Kwaliteit & Veiligheid Fundashon Mariadal. Once the waiting list is cleared, patients will be sent for an MRI to Aruba again through the regular commercial flights.
