Prime Minister Commended by Minister Timmermans on Ensuring Gender Equality in Her Cabinet

PM: "I do not look at it in terms of Gender. Once you know your stuff you can stand up as a woman, or man for that matter

During the introductory meeting the Prime Minister the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams held with Minister the Honorable Frans Timmermans, the Minister made some remarks regarding the Prime Minister’s efforts to ensure gender equality in the Government Apparatus. "You have you gender balanced better than I do and I congratulate you on that. Promoting equality between men and women is one of my priorities and human rights policies and apparently you have a bigger success as far as your delegation is concerned compared to mine," commented Kingdom Foreign Relations Minister Frans Timmermans.

During a question on the PM’s weekly radio show a listener asked if the PM has had to face much adversity because she was a woman. "I do not look at it in terms of Gender; politics is exactly that; the realm of politics. Even in the realm of politics there are basic principles to the rules and regulations that are there. Once you know your stuff you can stand up as a woman, or man for that matter, once you know what you are saying," commented Prime Minister Wescot-Williams.
