St. Martin Pony League’s Felix Brown leaves for the Pacific Pro Baseball League in Hawaii.

 

The St. Martin Pony League is proud to announce that its player Felix Brown, will be going to Hawaii on June 3 rd to play pro-baseball with the Club Hawaii Stars of the Pacific Pro-Baseball League. The team is expected to play a 78 ball games for a season that will last approximately three months. The team will also be traveling to Japan where they will be playing two teams from the BC league of Japan.

It all came about after Felix spend three months playing in Rincon Puerto Rico where he was spotted playing shortstop for the Club Turistas and was drafted to play ball with the Pacific League in Hawaii. Felix Brown studied Sports Management at the Ohio Dominican University and has a bachelor’s degree. He played in the baseball team of the university and was for the last two years the consecutive batting champion of the university. Felix was good on the field as well as in the classroom. During his college years he played for three months in Canada for the Yorkton Cardinals where he had as teammate Andrelton Simmons. Here too he was the best batter of the team. Because of his good batting ability in Canada he was called "down town Felix Brown". After Canada Felix then went on to play in Paris

for the team Templier de Senart. Felix is a French National selection player and played in the European Baseball Championship games held in Germany and the Czech Republic. Through intervention of the St.Martin Pony League Felix Brown and many more St.Martiners also went along with the French National selection to the European Games. During his stay in France he traveled to Japan and was contracted to play pro ball with Diamond Pegasus pro baseball club of Japan. Felix was one of the St.Maarten player that won gold for the Netherland Antilles during the 2005 kingdom games held in Curacao. Felix was also selected to play in the 2003 Kingdom games of Aruba. Felix also played ball in the Haarlemse Honkbalweek in the Netherlands. Because of his good batting ability and being a switch hitter he usually is place to bat first. On the island Felix played with the St. Martin Pony League team Cul de Sac Athletics and with the its adult team the 2010 – 2011 Baseball champions Mets. Felix is a big fan of the St.James Yankees and is whishing them all the best with the Pony League playoff games.
