Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) has expressed confidence that several projects being undertaken will provide opportunities for the sustainability of the tourism industry.
Speaking at the signing of an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SCASPA and the Massachusetts-based J. Cashman Corporation for the construction of a second cruise pier at Port Zante, Mr. Jonathan Bass said a breasting dolphin, a solar farm, replacement of the runway lights cables, design of a master plan for the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and the Private Jet Terminal when completed will enhance SCASPA’s facilities and operations

He said that the new wave of investment opportunities by SCASPA will improve and expand its operations at its two sea ports and at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport.
"The other projects that are being undertaken by SCASPA include the construction of a Breasting Dolphin at the Cargo Port which will facilitate the birthing of larger cruise vessels. This is to be completed by October of this year," said Mr. Bass.
The construction of a 1-megawatt solar energy farm at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport is expected to be completed by the end of August 2013

The replacement of 25- year- old runway lighting cables at the airport is also to be completed by the end of August this year," the CEO of SCASPA said.
He also disclosed that the designing of a New Master Plan for the Airport will include the reconfiguration of the interior of the terminal to improve its functionality.
"The Private Jet Terminal construction terminal construction is nearly completed and should be operating within the next three to four months, although no actual opening date has been set," said Mr. Bass.
