OCI: tolling of church bells & Inauguration Special for April 30

With the abdication of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix and the succession to the throne of His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange just days away, a number of activities have been organized.

Church bells throughout the country will toll at 8.00am on Tuesday, April 30.

A one-hour Special produced by the Department of Communication will be aired on April 30 on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120 at 12.00pm to 1.00pm. It will show activities leading up to the inauguration of the King as well as welcome message from His Excellency Governor Eugene Holiday and Prime Minister Hon. Sarah Wecot-Williams.

The Special will also air interviews with Orange Bow Awardees and highlight other activities.

The Special can also be seen on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 115 from 6.00pm to 7.00pm on the same day and can also be seen on WTN Channel 10 (check channel for broadcast times).
