The Windward Islands Bank Ltd held an ”Artists Luncheon” at Sheer Restaurant on Wednesday April 17th in celebration of WIB’s 2012 Annual Report ”The Art of Banking”. The annual report fetures renowned artists: Roland Richardson, Urmaine Dormoy, Ruby Bute, Isabella Souccar, Ras Mosera, Cynric Griffith, George RIchards, Maximillian Phelipa & thier incredible works. The artists were invited to join WIB’s Managemnet, Marketing & Graphic Designer for a luncheon in their honour.
Every year WIB dedicates a section of their annual report to chronicle tributes to the Islands. Previous WIB annual reports included stories on ”The Art of Music on Sxm”, ”50 Years Your Partner in Progress” , ”Our Heritage” & much more.
All of these reports are available on the WIB’s website. WIB’s annual report attempts to bring awareness to the richness of culture, diversity, evolution & progression of the islands in which the bank operates.
Ms. Souraine Hazel, a local graphic designer & WIB’s marketing department also contributed their talents in the making of WIB’s annual report by helping put together the layout for the colorful report.
This is the 1st time that WIB has chosen a landscaped design for their annual report. The 17 page report lists WIB’s objectives, management report, balance sheet, works by the artists & photographs of WIB’s alternative energy show.
During the luncheon, each artist was given the WIB 2012 annual report. It was a pleasant afternoon to spend time with the artists & to thank them for their contributions, not only to WIB’s 2012 annual report, but also to art & creativity on Sxm.
