Chamber organising delegation to Women’s Networking Conference

Information evening at Divi on Tuesday, March 19, 2013

St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising a delegation of professional women to represent the country at the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) National Networking Conference in New York from April 24-27. International Television Personality Star Jones will host the conference.

Prime Minister Sarah Wescot-Williams and Education and Culture Minister Silveria Jacobs among other professional women have been invited to be part of the delegation.

Professional women, interested in joining the delegation, are invited to an information evening at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort on Tuesday, March 19, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Chamber of Commerce President Tamara Leonard and other Chamber representatives will give information about NAPW and the benefits of networking at this high level conference for individual businesses and for the greater St. Maarten.

One of the Chamber’s goals is to attract the conference to St. Maarten as early as October. St. Maarten is a great venture for this high powered gathering. Hosting the conference here will be a boost for the country and expose our professional and businesswomen to new and expanded opportunities.

"St. Maarten is known for its strong women. Oualichi, land of strong women, was even the name given to our island in times past. This conference is a way for us to show our strength and promote our country," said Leonard.

NAPW is an exclusive network for professional women to interact, exchange ideas, educate, and empower. NAPW members enjoy a wealth of resources, benefits, and services dedicated to enhancing their lives and promoting their businesses and careers.

NAPW provides seminars, podcasts, webinars, keynote speakers, and educational tools, fostering critical skills that enable our members to achieve personal and career success.

Through its wide-reaching network, members discover new opportunities to connect, grow, learn, and inspire. We provide an exclusive online platform to showcase their businesses and gain exposure for professional endeavours.

NAPW also supports and endorses a diverse syndicate of charities and non-profit organizations focused on women’s issues and child wellness.

A special delegation price has been procured by the Chamber of Commerce for the conference. All details and individual costs will be shared at the information evening.
