Central Committee to Meet on March 11and12 to discuss Parlatino and Inauguration of Willem-Alexander

The Central Committee of Parliament will meet on March 11. The first agenda point is in connection with a working visit to the Netherlands at the end of April. A second agenda point has been added.

The second agenda point relates to approval of travel by Members of Parliament (MPs) to Parlatino meetings for the remainder of 2013.

The working visit of parliament in April is in connection with the abdication of Queen Beatrix. It is still to be determined how many MPs will be present to attend the inauguration of Willem-Alexander as King.

The central committee will meet on Monday at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The Central Committee of Parliament will meet in an urgent session on March 12 in connection to legislative amendments related to the abdication of Queen Beatrix and the inauguration of Willem-Alexander as King.

The Prime Minister/Minister of General Affairs Hon. Sarah Wescot-Williams is expected to be present for the parliamentary session to explain about the required changes to several national ordinances related to the change in monarch.

The central committee will meet on Tuesday at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

Members of the public are always welcome to be present in the General Assembly Chamber during public meetings to follow the parliamentary session scheduled for that particular day.
