From May 5th till 8th 2013 a trade mission "Europe meets the Americas" will be heldon Aruba. The organization of this is in the hands of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Aruban government. The trade mission aims to jointly seize opportunities in the rapidly growing
markets of Latin America. From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs supervises Simon Smits, Director-General for External Economic Relations of the Ministry, the economic mission.
Participation in "Europe meets the Americas" is particularly interesting for entrepreneurs and investors who want to do business with Latin America, in particular Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela, the countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and in the Dutch Caribbean. Through these countries they have a potential reach of over 400 million consumers.
Participation is open to companies from the following sectors: sustainable technologies (energy, mining, agriculture, infrastructure and transport), logistics and infrastructure (storage, distribution, processing, ports, airports), tourism (training), financial services and business support, water (works) and retail. Companies and investors located in Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba are cordially invited to participate.
The economic mission starts on May 5th with a conference of regional ambassadors. On May 6th a business conference is planned. This conference deals extensively with the trade possibilities from the Kingdom and Aruba. The conference provides a unique opportunity to establish contacts from one location within the Kingdom with potential business partners and customers in Latin America.

For companies from the European and Caribbean Netherlands who want to have the guarantee of meeting potential business partners from Latin American countries, a customized service by Agentschap NL (EVD) is provided.
