Pedestrian struck by car and dies.

On Friday March 1st 2013 at approximately 01.00 a.m. the Police Central Dispatch received a phone call informing them of a traffic accident on the L.B. Scot road in the vicinity of Cake House Bakery whereby a pedestrian was struck by a car and had sustained serious injuries. Immediately several police patrols including the Police traffic department and ambulance department were dispatched to the scene. On the scene the investigating officers encountered a female victim who was not showing any sign of life. The paramedics attempted to reanimate the victim but were unsuccessful in doing so. Dr. Douglas arrived on the scene and pronounced the death of the victim. The investigation thus far has shown that the victim by the name of Margarita Rosario Contreras born in the Dominican Republic 49 years of age attempted to cross the street to get into her car and was struck by a white Daihatsu Serion with license plate P-9042. The force of the impact caused the death of the victim on the scene. The body of the victim was confiscated for further investigation and the driver of the car was taken in for questioning. The traffic department is still conducting their investigation into this case to determine the exact cause of the accident.
