Over 7,300 cruise passengers visited St. Kitts on Wednesday

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 20TH 2013 (CUOPM) – Nearly 7,500 cruise ship passengers onboard four ships visited St. Kitts on Wednesday.

The 3,046 passenger Celebrity Reflection, with 3,083 passengers and a crew of 1234 onboard arrived early Wednesday from and will go on to Miami.

 

The 4,370-passenger Independence of the Seas arrived from St. Maarten with 3,929 passengers and a crew of 1380 before sailing to Puerto Rico.

Arriving from Antigua with 149 passengers and a crew of 174 was the 200-pssenger Seabourne Legend which went on to St. Barth’s.

Also in port was the 255-passngere Royal Clipper with 198 passengers and a crew of 112. While the Celebrity Reflection and Independence of the Seas berth at Port Zante and the Seabourne Legend at the Deep Water, the Clipper dropped anchor in the port of Basseterre before sailing to waters off Frigate Bay.

Most of the 7,359 passengers came ashore and went on sight-seeing tours in Basseterre and island wide via the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, buses or taxis. Hundreds went to Brimstone Hill, sea and sun bathing on the beaches, snorkeling, sailing to Nevis, horseback riding, golfing, casino gambling, shopping and biking while others took time to surf the internet and make contact with friends and family.
