Ghetto Boyz squandered their chance to advance to the next round of the Division league by losing 3-7 against Emile photo whom had beat them in the first leg by 4-7. Papouche, the top scorer of the match, placed 4 balls behind Ghetto Boyz keeper.
SXM Youth United, a rooky team that suffered some big losses in previous games, came with great enthusiasm and spirit. At the final whistle of their match against Flames United they kept the score very low by losing only 1 – 6.
The most anticipated game of the day and definitely the match of the day was the between MixItalia and Shak’Eat. MixItalia, favorites to win the game because of the departure of ShakEat leading player to France, couldn’t keep up with ShakEat change tactics. Five different players scored for ShakEat vs. 2 for MixItalia. ShakEat came out victorious beating MixItalia 8 – 4.
Once again Risc Takers Veteran clashed with Nagico Fun Makers Veteran and once again Risc Takers proved to be the better team than Fun Makers in the veteran as in the senior division beating them 9 – 5. Nagico Fun has a last chance to redeem themself on the 2nd of December 2012 when they will face Risc Takers again.
The final match of the day between Strikers FC and St Maarten FC was worth a closing match. Both teams went all in. Strikers dominated and had a lot of ball possession throughout the game. Coach Anthony Mc Lean did an excellent job in keeping the Strikers players focused. Strikers won the game 5 – 2.
Matches will continue on the 18th of November. The 18th promised to be a very exciting day on which the fate of 8 teams will be known.
