In continuation of the 2012 St. Martin Pony League Youth Baseball competition the St. Georges Cubs swept most of the games they played but had to bow down once again for the strong team of Cul de Sac Padres. After sweeping the double header from the St. James Yankees with the score of 7-4 and 8 -5 the Cubs took on the Tigers and defeated them with a score of 16 – 4. If this was not enough the Cubs then took on the Padres where they started the first inning taking the lead but the team of the Padres with good pitching of Paul Sanches and Ricky Luis dominated the hot bats of the Cubs to a 6-6 tie due to darkness. Next week the Cubs will be playing against the Dodgers.
