With a determination to finally put their hands on the 1st place futsal Mundialito trophy, Jamaica came out strong, with a full bench of players, dominating their matches with very strong offensive tactics.
The competition started with the semifinal match between Holland and Suriname in which Suriname defeated Holland 5-0. Armantho Kemble who played an impressive game for Suriname scored 2 goals.
The Jamaican fans where nail biting during the 2nd semifinal match between St Martin and Jamaica. St Martin playeda very strong game and, at one time, had Jamaica trailing 2-0. Jamaica fought back and at the end of the game the scoreboard displayed a draw of 3-3.
The match went in overtime and in the two times five minutes in extra time Jamaica settled the score beating St Martin 4-3.
In the battle for the 3rd place in the final, the defending champions, Holland, beat St. Martin 7-2. Andro Garcia was the game top scorer with 4 goals.
The final match between Suriname and Jamaica was a match worth the champion match. Both teams played with passion and the urge to win.
Although Jamaica played hard and sometimes rough the referees had the game under control. At the final whistle Jamaican took the title by beating Suriname 3-1 and dethroning Holland as the reigning champions.
