St. Martin Pony League hosting meeting

Plan and organize next Eastern and Pony Dutch Caribbean Youth Baseball Tournament

Representatives of The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, Aruba, Antigua, Saba, St.Eustatius, Anguilla, Jamaica, St. Croix, Curacao, Bonaire and St. Maarten are among those that have been invited to attend a pre-tournament meeting for the next Pony Dutch Caribbean and the Eastern Caribbean Tournament.

 The meeting is schedule to take place on the island of St. Maarten on Saturday December 17, 2011. These meetings are usually held by the country that will be hosting the tournament. Among topics on the agenda are the planning and organizing of the Pony Dutch Caribbean Youth Baseball Tournament and also the Eastern Caribbean 11 U championship. Winner of the 11 U will go direct to the Pony World Series in Chesterfield, Virginia. The Pony Dutch Caribbean Tournament will be for kids 12 and under. The Curacao’s Trai Seru team of Lando Chirino is the present Champion. Curacao, Saba or St. Eustatius are the next in line to host the PDC tournament providing that the conditions for hosting such a tournament are met. They are expected to present their case for hosting. PDC Tournaments are schedule to take place during school vacation days and are meant to be hosted in the Dutch Caribbean.
