Pony Baseball adds Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and Costa Rica to the Caribbean Zone

Pony Baseball and Softball Caribbean Zone met at Hotel Coop Marena in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic on November 18 and 19, 2011 as to determine the activities for 2012 and discuss the past activities of 2011.

The discussions that took place were among others the New Rules, the upcoming 2012 Caribbean Zone the installing of the Eastern Caribbean and Western Caribbean Zone Tournaments and the official appointing of Mr. Gabriel Brown of St. Maarten and Mr. Jose Diaz of Panama as the official Tournament Directors for these Regions.Mr. Brown will now be in charge of organizing Pony Baseball and Softball Tournaments among the islands Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire ,St.Maarten, Anguilla, Saba, Statia, St. Kitts, Nevis, Antigua and Montserrat.

Attending the meeting were Pony representatives from Bahamas, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Costa Rica and St. Maarten. The island of St. Maarten was represented by Mrs. Esmee Thomas, Mrs. Nadia Brown and Mr. Gabriel Brown. Mr. Brown also attended as Regional Director for the Eastern Caribbean. Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and Costa Rica attended the meeting for the first time. Mr. Brown together with the representatives of St. Maarten Pony League also presented some information with regards to the upcoming 2012 Dutch Caribbean Tournament that will be hosted by St. Maarten.
