Georgetown, Guyana – When Guyana captain Assad Fudadin and all rounder Steven Jacobs take the field on Friday against Sagicor High Performance Centre their head gear will be distinctly different from the green Guyana cap.

The duo will inaugurate the Super50 Super Caps for being the leading batsman and bowler respectively for Group A.

After the first round matches for Group A, Fudadin has tallied the most runs with his top score of 45 in a low scoring affair against Windwards.

Jacobs and Windwards pacer Nelon Pascal both took four wickets in the match but Jacobs tipped Pascal for the Super Cap honours by virtue of going for less runs from his spell.

Fudadin will don the Super Batsman cap for Friday’s match while Jacobs will wear the Super Bowler cap.

In the new feature, the leading run scorer and wicket-taker in each round will win the right to wear the Super Caps in their next match.

For Saturday’s games Trinidadian batsman Jason Mohammed will wear the Group B Super Batsman’s Cap after his 77 against Combined Campuses and Colleges.

Jamaican swing bowler Krishmar Santokie will sport the Group B Super Bowler’s cap for his 3 for 30 in routing Leeward Islands.
