St John’s, Antigua – Trinidad & Tobago batsman Runako Morton has been fined 35% of his match fee following the Trinidad & Tobago v Windward Islands WICB Regional 4 Day match at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.
Morton was charged with a Level 1 (Rule 1.1) breach relating to abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground, equipment or fixtures and fittings.
Morton pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the proposed sanction of 35% of his match fee and a hearing was avoided.
All Level 1 charges carry a range of between an official reprimand and/or fine of up to the equivalent of 50% of the player’s match fee.
