On Thursday, the newest addition to the Celebrity Cruises’ fleet, Celebrity Flora, made a fuel and provisioning stop at Port St. Maarten on its way to the Galapagos Islands where the vessel will be based year-around.
Celebrity Flora made the Atlantic crossing after departing the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands where the vessel was inaugurated in the presence of Royal Caribbean Cruises and Celebrity Cruises’ executive officials and other invited guests aboard during the ceremony.

Port St. Maarten Management has developed a strategy to increase volume related to cruise ship provisioning with the objective of becoming the lead cruise ship provisioning seaport in the near future.
Celebrity Flora is a luxury mega yacht that can carry approximately 100 guests and 70+ crew; 5,739 tonnage; length 333 feet and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The vessel was built by De Hoop in the Netherlands and will make her first sailing with guests on June 30 from the homeport of Baltra.
