Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten, drs. Jorien Wuite, following up on the mission of the Cabinet which is to embrace, encourage and promote Sint Maarten expertise, met with Nataly Linzey, a Sint Maarten born young professional currently residing in the Netherlands.
A graduate of the University of Groningen, Linzey just attained her master’s degree in Dutch law, having specialized in Criminal Law with an average score of 7.5.
She is currently pursuing her ambition to eventually become a Public Prosecutor, a position she will qualify for once she has attained the needed relevant experience.
In pursuit of this goal, Linzey has been proactive in exploring various possibilities. The Minister Plenipotentiary, in keeping with the objectives and plans to offer internships and traineeships at the Cabinet, offered her support and that of the senior staff members of the Cabinet.
The minister also vowed to introduce Linzey to key individuals within the collective and individual networks. This is an attempt to strengthen Linzey’s resolve in attaining her goals.
Linzey has been offered the opportunity do a short traineeship at the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary, as of the first week of December. This will afford Linzey the opportunity of gaining relevant work experience while reviewing other job options.
In accepting this offer, she will work under the guidance of the senior legal advisor at the Cabinet, mr. Ms. Charlotte Duijf, with whom she will be delving into legal projects on justice related matters in support to the Cabinet.
Furthermore, she will be coached in matters pertaining to legalities on Kingdom level.
Linzey has expressed her gratitude to the Minister Plenipotentiary. “One of the things young professionals face after completing a degree is the lack of needed experience to get the jobs we aspire.”
She continued in saying, “We cannot get that experience if we are not afforded the chance to start somewhere. I’m extremely thankful to ms. Wuite for using the limited means that her Cabinet has to still be of valued assistance in getting that head start.”
The Minister Plenipotentiary congratulated Linzey on her graduation and welcomed her to her Cabinet.
