The 2017 Ombudsman Year Report was presented to President of Parliament Hon. Sarah Wescot-Williams at the House of Parliament today. This year’s report highlights the Ombudsman’s focus during the latter part of the year on the relief, recovery and rebuilding needs of the public.
As a result, two systemic investigations have been launched, namely into the country’s preparedness to deal with a disaster and into the operational procedures of the Rent Committee. The President of Parliament announced her intention to table this report in a meeting of Parliament soonest.
