The Be The Change Foundation, in collaboration with Oranje Fonds, is urging all interested foundations, NGOs, schools, health organizations, clubs and sports to register their project(s) for SXM DOET on or before January 23, 2017 to be considered for funding.
SXM DOET is an initiative initiated by the Oranje Fonds in the Netherlands with NLdoet, which started in the Netherlands over 10 years ago and later expanded to Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, Statia and St. Maarten. SXM DOET will be hosting the third edition of this volunteer programme on Friday, March 10 and Saturday March 11, 2017.
The initiative involves all interested NGOs that want to execute projects that they would like to get done but haven’t had the resources, time and/or hands to do so. Interested NGOs should register the project(s) they would like executed through the help of volunteers on www.SXMDOET.com by the deadline January 23, 2017. Funding can be requested from Oranje Fonds via the SXMDOET.com online form.
Projects must require at least 5 volunteers and must feasibly be completed within one or two days. The types of projects can vary and a person with any skill or will can volunteer, be it by providing hairdressing and make up makeovers to the elderly, or construction and painting skills for an educational or sports facility, taking foster kids out on an entertaining excursion, or participating in a neighborhood beach cleanup.
Registration for volunteers to sign up for projects is open from now until March for individuals, companies, schools, and other community-oriented organizations.
For further information on the requirements to sign up visit the website www.SXMDOET.com or contact the SXM DOET Project Management team by email at info.sxmdoet@gmail.com.
