The Government, consisting of the Governor and the Council of Ministers, will meet this coming Wednesday at the Governor’s Cabinet.
At this meeting all the Ministers will make their positions available and the “Landsbesluit” (national decree) to dissolve Parliament will be signed by the Governor and countersigned by the Prime Minister.
The Council of Ministers has advised the Census Office and Electoral Council to prepare for elections.
Yesterday the Governor requested MP William Marlin to form a new Cabinet. The new Cabinet will remain in office until the appointment of a Cabinet based on the result of the elections.
The outgoing Cabinet Gumbs sincerely hopes that this will produce the stability our young country needs.
