On May 14, 2015, seven volunteers from the U.S. Forward Operating Location (USFOL)
visited the children and staff of the Encilia Halfway House – formerly known as Kinderdorp
Hebron – to assist with painting, cleaning and other tasks.
Encelia provides a temporary, safe environment for children in transition who struggle with a
variety of social and behavioral challenges.
The USFOL team devoted three hours to rehabilitating the facilities and interacting with the
children, demonstrating their long-standing appreciation for the hospitality received from the
citizens of CuraƧao.
