PENSIONERS TRANSFERRED TO APS

APS, St. Maarten’s general pension fund administrator is continuing with the transfer of pensioners from APC /PCN to APS and vice versa. As a result of the ongoing transfer, a number of pensioners have been transferred to APS as of January 2015.

All of the participants in the fund of the former APNA have been allocated to one of three pension funds. These are St. Maarten’s APS, Curacao’s APC pension fund and PCN, which is the pension fund administrator for the BES islands. This was done on the basis of the pensioners’ last place of work prior to retirement before October 10, 2010, as registered in APNA’s administration.

In letters to pensioners concerned, APS explained that, as of January 2015, they are registered as a participant of APS. Payments take place around the 21st of every month.

Pensioners were additionally reminded that all required taxes as per St. Maarten tax law will be withheld from the pension payments, as will all other deductions such as payments for alimonies and mortgage, withheld by APC, in keeping with  St. Maarten legislation and regulations.

An invitation is being extended to pensioners to contact APS should they have questions regarding this or any related matter.

Pensioners with any further questions regarding the contents of the letter, are asked to contact APS via telephone: +1.721.543.0003 or e-mail: info@apsxm.org.
