Today, January 19th 2015, twenty new police recruits were officially installed to attend the police training courses with the Justice Academy Sint Maarten.
These men and women are about to start with the BAVpol-training with the Justice Academy. Some of the students have been waiting for about two or three years before they finally got accepted and could start their classes. The recruits remained as motivated and full of enthusiasm as when they first applied for the job.
Chief Commissioner Carl John welcomed the students and after they were allowed to formally introduce themselves they were asked to give a brief and personal impression of the Police organization. The reactions differed among the recruits nevertheless; the majority of them stated that the police department had come along way and that they were quite eager to be part of the police department. They also stated that are super motivated and are ready to start.
Commissioner John then passed the word on to Chief Commissioner Peter de Witte who gave a short and powerful motivational speech and ended by saying that he hoped to see the recruits again after they finished their studies and are ready to go on the streets.
The students were also introduced to the staff of the Justice Academy and after receiving all the necessary they could leave to finalize all the necessary preparations to start with the police training.
The Korps Politie Sint Maarten (Police Force of Sint Maarten) wishes all the recruits much success in following this police training.
