The Evaluation Committee that will study the effects of the new constitutional status of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba will visit St. Eustatius on Tuesday November 18th and Wednesday November 19th. The Committee would like to speak with as many residents as possible in order to hear their opinion. Therefore on Monday November 18th from 7.00 PM until 8.30 PM a public reception will be held at the Mike van Putten Youth Center also known as the Lions Den.
The five person Evaluation Committee is headed by Liesbeth Spies, former Minister of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations. The remaining members of the Committee who will be present are Fred Soons, retired professor of the Utrecht of University, Glenn Thode, vice-chancellor of the University of Aruba and former island Governor of Bonaire, Luc Verheij, Professor at the University of Leiden and State Councillor for the Council of State, and Frans Weekers, former State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance.
During this informal reception committee members will introduce themselves to residents of St. Eustatius. Residents will in turn have the opportunity to speak with the members and express their meaning and opinion with regards to their experiences in the new constitutional structure during the past 4 years.
