Recently the Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson was interviewed by cadets of the customs and immigration services on the topics of victims of human trafficking and on illegal weapons position on the island. The cadets wanted to know what policies were in place or being prepared to tackle these issues and what results have been reached and can be achieved through these policies.
After more than two hours of intensive conversation the Justice Minister expressed his appreciation for the cadets interest in the “why’s and how’s” of their work that they will be engaged in and not only for the technical aspects of executing their jobs. The Minister is of the opinion that such broader interests of employees contribute to help create intelligent and therefore more effective law enforcement agencies. He wishes the cadets much success in their endeavors.
