On Tuesday morning September 2nd at approximately 04.30 the lady with initials R.M.O. from the Dominican Republic arrived at the Philipsburg Police Station and reported that her daughter L.M.M.O (24) also born in the Dominican Republic left for work on Monday September 1st at 06.00 a.m. and that she did not return home from work at 03.00 p.m. Her daughter did not call to inform her where she was. This behavior was very unusual for her daughter. R.M.O. also stated that she had been searching throughout the night for her daughter without any success. Shortly after making her report, a close friend of her daughter tracked the approximate location of her cellular telephone via the GPS tracking-system, which was in the Nazareth area. Immediately the police was informed of that information and a patrol was sent to investigate. In Nazareth Estate in the vicinity of the “Cockpit” the patrol located a small black Hyundai Accent. During the investigation the officers searched the entire vehicle and found the lifeless body of a female in the trunk of the car. Noting the condition the body was found in the investigating officers knew that foul play was involved. The Police Central Dispatch was immediately informed of the situation and the area was closed off to preserve the crime scene. Detectives and Forensic Department were sent to the scene to do an in depth investigation. Dr. Mercuur pronounced the death of the victim and the body has been confiscated for further investigation. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and a lot has to be done to determine what happen, why and who the one is or ones are that are responsible for this act. The police Department is therefore making an appeal to the public asking anyone who may have any information that could shed some light on this case to immediately get in contact with the detective department or use the tip line # 9300.
