A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent. —Douglas MacArthur

Marlin-Romeo plans to use her experience, knowledge, qualifications and expertise to bring about a new vision for the people of St. Maarten and plans to champion values and issues plaguing our current system namely: Integrity, excellence and dedication, inclusion and awareness to the constitution of St. Maarten.
“Anyone who knows me know that I am firm believer in integrity,” she said. “Integrity, honesty and full disclosure. Therefore, promoting and bringing continuous awareness of the importance of proper work ethics and the practice of having good moral common values in office is a high priority for me.”
“Guided by these principles, my mandate will be to lobby for causes such as Inclusion- St. Maarten is a unique island as it represents over 57,000 registered persons, with 114 different nationalities, making it one of the smallest, but largest Cosmopolitan Island. Been strategically positioned, it is a hub zone that acts as a connecting point for many other countries. With such a diverse population, it is important that we embrace those who have made St. Maarten their permanent home and have helped to build a stronger and unified St. Maarten, this great nation.”
