On Wednesday afternoon, Minister of Public Health Social Development & Labor, Cornelius De Weever was interviewed by Makaria Baptiste, a grade 6 student at the Methodist Agogic Center-Browlia F. Maillard Campus for a Social Studies project.
Miss Baptiste asked Minister De Weever many questions to get an insight into the ministry and his position as minister. One of the questions miss Baptiste posed to the Minister was, “What words of encouragement do you offer to the sixth grade students that will be now going on to high school?” Minister De Weever stated that they must stay focused, eat a balanced meal, exercise, work smart, do not give in to peer pressure and to remember that our country needs you. Miss Baptiste also asked Minister De Weever if he enjoys his work, and he in turn responded that “I love what I do, and don’t look at it as work.”
“I wish Miss Baptiste much success with her studies, and it was a pleasure to have her visit my office today,” said Minister De Weever.
