Over the weekend of May 26, 2014, 23rd – 24th & 25th , The LAB Sports Academy hosted the 9th Annual Youth Tennis Tournament. This event was a success, we had a turnout of 23 participants. These participants competed in 5 categories:
Beginners – Under 10 – Under 13 – Under 15, – Open class.
A Big Thank you goes out to the LIEVENSE Consulting Company for sponsoring this event for the last 9 years.
The Competition was opened with a round robin challenge at the Raoul Illidge Sport Complex Tennis Pavilion.
We are looking forward to their continuous support.
The Tournament was split up in five Brackets, in male as well as female categories.
1. Beginners
2. 10 & Under
3. 13 & Under
4. 15 & Under
5. Open Category.
Overall results.
· Beginner Category – Female Winner Ejanee Schilling-ford – Male Winner Ejomar Schilling-ford.
· Under 10 Female Sadge Williams – Male Winner Jahiem Hunt.
· Under 13 – Winner Junior Atyll – Sub Winner Jonathan Savier.
· Under 15 Category Boys – Winner Leshawn Brown
· Open Class Male: Winner Dwayne Jolly.
Other Great performances were put down by Nicolas Jeffrey and Gabriella Jeffrey. A big thank you goes out to all players win or did not win, we encourage them to continue training hard. They are all welcome to come and take extra training on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex Tennis Pavilion.
The next competition will be two months later in July 2014.
