Deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Josianne Fleming-Artsen met with the Movement for the Promotion of Collaboration of Antilleans and Arubans (MAAPP) on Monday, to discuss current affairs that the organization is involved with.
MAAPP is an organization that operates throughout the Netherlands representing Antillean and Aruban residents interests.
In discussion with MAAPP it was decided that the Sint Maarten House/Cabinet would offer the Soualiga Room for the award ceremony that the organization has planned for Thursday, October 3. Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Mathias Voges was very pleased to offer the use of the facility at the Sint Maarten House for the social event.
Three persons from Aruba, Curacao and Sint Maarten will receive an award on Thursday evening.
Minister Hon. Josianne Fleming-Artsen welcomes a closer working relationship between the Sint Maarten House and social-civic organizations in the Netherlands.
The Minister is of the opinion that much can be accomplished with all entities working together to deal with challenges confronted by Sint Maarteners and others from the Dutch Caribbean who are residing in the Netherlands.
