The Division for Educational Innovation is happy to announce that all is in place to start with another Post HBO Management Training for new and incoming school managers and other persons in management at all government subsidized school(s).
In 2009 our Division organized a two year Post HBO Management Training for school managers of all government subsidized schools. The training was executed by NA-CSI, a Curacao based consultancy firm and was funded by USONA through the Innovation in Education Project.
The training started with (24) participants of which (20) successfully completed the training and received their diploma in December 2012.
The remaining (4) participants recently completed the program in May 2013 and are scheduled to receive their diplomas on Monday June 10th ,2013.
At the request of Minister Silveria Jacobs, the Minister of Education of Education, Culture, Youth & Sports Affairs, and the cooperation of USONA, another Post HBO Management training has been organized to train new School Managers in Educational Management, which is required by the Law for Education "Ondwerwijswetgeving – Funderend, voortgezet en secundair beroepsonderwijs"- 2009.
The upcoming Post HBO Management training will be financed partially by USONA through Innovation in Education Project and partially by the Government of St. Maarten.
Presently there are a total of (23) candidates registered for the above mentioned training.
The candidates are all in possession of the required Bachelor Degree in Education.
The training will start on Tuesday June 12th and June 13th 2013 with the first module of -Introduction, Study Guide and Strategic and Integral Management.
The training will be held at the USM and from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
